User instructions

General

  • The homepage of GroundwaterIntro provides direct access to the various modules; regular users will appreciate this direct route.

  • The homepage also has a link to 'Table of Contents', with detailed content of modules, and from which modules can also be accessed.

  • The homepage also shows a link to ‘About GroundwaterIntro’, where goal and scope are presented.

Modules

  • GroundwaterIntro is divided into 34 modules, arranged in 6 chapters.

  • The modules can be opened in any order. A starting student may study the chapters in the order as presented in the Homepage or in the Table of Contents. Module STRT(start)  should be studied before any other module, for those lacking a basic knowledge of groundwater.

  • The Homepage of GroundwaterIntro presents a direct way to access the various modules but a link with detailed module-content is available as well.

  • Reading the modules is extremely simple. The modules consist of pictures which can be located by scrolling.

  • The accompanying voice-over is activated by the sound-bar and may be repeated if needed.

Making personal notes

  • A pdf-version of the module's pictures may be downloaded and printed

  • It is intended for making notes when GroundwaterIntro is studied.

  • Making notes is an important tool for improved consolidation of newly learnt knowledge. The same holds for reproducing calculations or adding calculations by the student.

Contact

  • Suggestions for improving GroundwaterIntro are very welcome.

  • Adding an alternative language for the voice-overs may be considered in cooperation with applicants.

  • Unfortunately, I will not be in a position to provide additional information on groundwater aspects, because of limited time and energy.
